Every morning, cities wake up before we do. Streets stretch themselves, roads and public parks wait for human footsteps and conversations, and buses carry stories from one stop to another.
Every city is alive on an invisible agreement. We stop at a red light even when no one is watching. We stand in queues that test our patience.
Public spaces are where our personal lives exists with the lives of strangers. A bus ride, a park bench, a crowded street and a waiting room – these are the spaces where we don’t choose our company, yet we are expected to share the space with comfort.
The internet is a great public square where ideas are shared freely and ignored voices are heard. But this freedom of expressing our thoughts, ideas and voices has made it a personal playground.
